09/05/12   Roche Building 1 - laying of the foundation stone
Today the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the new Roche office high-rise took place in Basel. The excavation work on the foundation pit was completed in April, and the completion of the shell construction is scheduled for the end of 2014.

11/2011   New construction of an academic high school in Bochum

The structural work for the new academic high school in Bochum was finished in November. Completion is planned by summer 2012.

10/2011   Umweltbundesamt Berlin (The Federal Environment Agency in Berlin)

We were awarded the contract for structural engineering services for the upcoming reconstruction of the Umweltbundesamt in Berlin.

We were awarded the contract for the extension of the forensic hospital and the construction of a new youth forensic hospital in Regensburg.

08/2011   Structural Awards 2011

We are pleased to find our project “NürnbergMesse – redevelopment of the central entrance area of Nuremberg’s trade fair centre” (Architect: kadawittfeldarchitektur) shortlisted for the Structural Awards 2011. The winner will be announced on 18^th November 2011.

10/06/11   Opening of adidas LACES, Herzogenaurach

Today the new company building LACES in the “World of Sports” at the adidas Group headquarters in Herzogenaurach was opened. It will provide space for more than 1,700 employees. LACES comprises seven levels and covers a total net floor area of more than 60,000m2.   more>>

05/2011   AOK service centre Löwentor

The construction work for the extension of the AOK service centre Stuttgart has begun. The new extension building, containing office workplaces, conference rooms and a canteen, will be finished in 2013.

25/02/11  Roche Bau 1 - building permission

The Roche Group got building permission for its new office tower Bau 1 in Basel, Switzerland.

We have almost completed the "Basic Design" stage.

15/12/10   Zeche Nordstern colliery - lifting of the Herkules sculpture
The 18 m high Herkules, designed by the artist Markus Lüpperts, was lifted in place on the tower of the Zeche Nordstern colliery. The sculpture consists of a 10 mm thick aluminium skin which is stabilized and supported by an internal spatial steel structure.

In cooperation with the architects office mvmarchitekt + starkearchitektur we won the 1st prize in the competition for the rearrangement of the Jäckle-Areal in Villingen-Schwenningen.

07/2010   competitive success
In cooperation with the architects office HASCHER JEHLE Architektur from Berlin, we won the 1st prize in a competition for the construction of a new building for the faculty of biology and biochemistry of the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf.

06/2010   Tall Building Awards

Congratulations to KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten: the high-rises in the PalaisQuartier in Frankfurt / Main have been recognized as a “finalist” in the CTBUH 2010 Best Tall Building awards for the Europe region. We did the structural design work for the 34-storey office tower. 

02/2010   Certificate for Sustainable Building

The Federal Ministry of Health in Bonn, for which we did the structural design work, has been awarded the Silver Certificate for Sustainable Building.

02/2010: award of contract in VOF tendering procedure

We have been awarded the contract for the extension of the AOK Löwentor Service Centre in Stuttgart.

02/2010   NürnbergMesse trade fair centre – Brüssel hall

Icy conditions prevailed as the formwork was stripped from the 1500 m² freeform reinforced concrete platform that will support the new Brüssel event hall.

After our success in the competition, we have now also been awarded the contract for the construction of the new teaching and examination centre of the Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt

In cooperation with the architects office HASCHER JEHLE Architektur from Berlin, we won the 1st prize in a competition for the construction of a youth hostel and youth forest home in Schleiden-Vogelsang.

We were awarded the contract for the new construction of an advanced secondary school in Bochum.

In cooperation with wulf & partner architects from Stuttgart, we won the 1st prize in the competition for the conversion and renovation of the educational centre in Markgröningen.

28/11/2009   west entrance of the NürnbergMesse (trade fair centre in Nuremberg)
The assembly of the 190-tonne roof peak took place on this day. The roofing of the west entrance hall has an area of 12000 m² and is covered with ETFE cushions.
