The building measures approx. 140m x 120m on the floor plan with a total height of 27m. The massive ground floor was designed by the architects as an accessible and greened sculptured landscape. The three upper floors constructed with steel Vierendeel-girders are separated from the solid structure by an „air storey“ and rest on 19 three or four member V-shaped reinforced concrete composite columns – these transfer the entire building loads to the high-tensile reinforced concrete foundation. In this way, the three upper floors literally float over the ground floor massive construction.

ADIDAS WOS – ARENA
THE NEW MAIN ENTRANCE INTO THE „WORLD OF SPORTS“
The new „Arena“ adds another spectacular building to the adidas „World of Sports“ in Herzogenaurach. The office and reception building, with approx. 2000 workplaces, will also serve as the main entrance for visitors and guests.
The high point of the building phase will without doubt be the planned lifting of the first of two steel structure floors, completely assembled at floor plate level, to their final levels at heights of 13m and 17m respectively.
